It’s not meditation itself that matters most—it’s the ability to enter the channeling state. Meditation is simply one of many modalities that can help you get there.
So, to be clear: meditation supports receiving higher guidance because it slows down your brain waves and opens the doorway to the channeling state. At the end of this blog, Xavier, my spirit guides, will share what the channeling state is from their perspective as spirit guides.
In essence, the channeling state is that inner space where your brain slows down enough to allow higher guidance to flow through. Put another way, it’s a way of getting out of your own way.
Before I go further, I want to emphasize something: all humans are already awake—if they choose to access themselves by entering the channeling state. Awakening is not reserved for the few. Everyone has access to higher guidance; it’s simply a matter of learning how to reach the channeling state within yourself.
When people ask me, “Do you have psychic abilities?” what they are really asking is: “Can you enter the channeling state on demand? Can you receive higher guidance the moment someone asks?” That’s one expression of being awake—a very convenient one—but it’s not the only way. The real question isn’t if you’re awake, but by how much. In other words: how much have you practiced your own abilities so that you can access the channeling state with ease?
But What If You Hate Meditation?
Or what if sitting in silence feels impossible? Are you out of luck in ever awakening? Absolutely not.
I have ADHD, and if you told me I had to sit still on a cushion alone facing a blank wall—that this was the only way to access higher guidance—I would have had to give up long ago. Many of us simply can’t biologically handle that kind of stillness.
The good news is that meditation isn’t the only path. There are many modalities that can help you reach the channeling state. Here are some that I’ve personally tried and can vouch for:
- Yoga
- Qigong or Tai Chi
- Forest bathing
- Dancing (a favorite recommendation from Xavier, my galactic spirit guides)
- Running
- Walking or walking meditation
- Guided meditation, supported by:
- Binaural beats
- Solfeggio frequencies
- Channeled meditations (many include energetic attunements)
- Crystal meditation
Understand that this is not an exhaustive list. Choose the modality that works with your brain and body. Meditation is just one of many doorways into the channeling state.
Awakening will Facilitate a Lifestyle Change
Awakening is less like a one-time event and more like a lifestyle change—much like weight loss. You’ll want to choose a practice you can engage with daily, and ideally, one you genuinely enjoy. Otherwise, maintaining yourself in an awakened state will feel like a chore.
For me, guided meditation works best. Most days, I meditate twice: once in the morning and once before bed. If I’m having a particularly tough day, I’ll fit in a midday session too. I usually choose a guided channeled meditation from my favorite channelers. I lie down comfortably, open Insight Timer (an app), and play the guided meditation that resonates for that day.
I don’t hold myself to rigid rules about what meditation should look like, as long as I don’t shirk on the true potential of the frequency I can reach. With ADHD, strict forms of practice would be overwhelming. Instead, I meditate in the way that supports me best—because at its core, meditation is simply a tool to slow the brain waves enough to access the channeling state with ease.
A Message from the Guides: Xavier
Xavier, my spirit guides, have a message for us regarding meditation and the channeling state, in general. Consistent with the convention of this blog, in italics is the directly channeled message as I hear it in my head, verbatim.
Xavier: Good, this is what we want to address before our upcoming courses. Many of you have learned that meditation is key to awakening and that is not wrong, however, meditation is only one of many modalities you can use to get to the channeling state. What we want to explain in this message is what is the channeling state from a neurological perspective as well as an energetic one.
So, we have to say this so as to appease the personality of the channel. She does not believe she has the vocabulary to bring forth this message but rest assured that she does. In saying out loud this perception, it allows us to get her back into a higher channeling state where she can bring forth the message. So, that is that.
Neurologically, what needs to occur to be awakened on demand, as the channel has defined it, is that the personality that occupies the body needs to feel safe within it. Why is this important? In the feeling of safety, you can allow higher guidance to come through. That is, your nervous system will not get in the way of receiving that higher guidance. Why do we start with the nervous system? We do so because what ails the channeling state usually begins there. When you are in a flight or freeze mode, it is very difficult for any guides, no matter how much energy they give you, to reach you. Why? Because your nervous system will block everything other than what needs to keep you alive. This is the biological imperative of the nervous system. It does it very well, so much so, that even taking up your energy for guidance is blocked. So, it is when the nervous system feels safe, and it feels, most importantly, loved that it can receive guidance. Do you get the nuance of what we said? It is not only the feeling of safety that is important, but, in essence, what will continually move you forward in your awakening is how much the nervous system feels loved by you. Ahhh, we see the that it is clicking in your brain now. Good.
So, more broadly than the extrapolation of the channel, is that you must learn to love yourself because the nervous system needs to use that love to be able to allow that higher guidance to come in. The more love your nervous system feels, the higher the frequency it can reach. Do you understand this?
We can talk about brain frequencies, beta, alpha, theta, delta, and gamma, but there is quite a bit of literature on this on your plane already, and they are very good. In essence, when your nervous system feels safe, it moves out of high beta, and it gets closer to alpha, a slower brain state than beta. This is why when humans heal substantial trauma in their life, often times they surprisingly awaken, just as the channel tells you about herself. When your nervous system heals, and it is no longer in the flight or freeze mode, suddenly your true higher potential shines through.
