I have been going through a rapid awakening process for the past two years. In that time, I have gone through several Dark Nights of the Soul, so much so that I almost hate to say that I have gotten really good at handling it. The first few were really hard, especially the ones that were designed to move me past my resistance. I suggested this post, mostly because I wanted to shed light on my own experience, but also to assist anyone who may be going through a Dark Night of the Soul. For anyone going through it, I want to tell you what my mentor and teacher told me when I was going through it, and that is – it will pass. It can be hard to see past the heavy emotions while you are in it, but for me, knowing that I won’t always be in that density really assisted me through my rapid awakening experience. I think something can be said about being excited about rebirth. It can be hard to go through the birthing canal, but once you are out, it does feel like you are a whole new person: that person you thought you could never be that goes through life with ease and grace. Let’s see what the guides have to teach us about this topic.

Why do humans choose to go through an awakening experience? Why do we choose to make that awakening experience rapid?
Seraphim: Humans choose to awaken for several reasons. Before we get started, we would like to define what it means to awaken for we do not want to have a vague conversation in this article. To awaken means to wake up to the full potential of your spiritual gifts, whether that gift is in channeling, in energy work, or something else, it means to become who you truly are as the I am self here on Earth. So, to awaken is to become who you truly are day in and day out. It is to make the change you came here to make with all the spiritual gifts available to you through the totality of your universal experience. To awaken is an exquisite gift you gift to yourself.
So, why do you choose to gift this exquisite gift to yourself? There are many reasons that cannot be enumerated in totality in a short article but we can tell you the main ones. For many of you, your spiritual gifts are your purpose on Earth. It is your passion. Because this is so, you have made it a must to open up for without awakening, you cannot meet your established goals on Earth. For others of you, there is a specialness within your spiritual gifts that are necessary for Earth’s ascension at this time and you have volunteered your services to assist Gaia and Earth consciousness. There are many other reasons that humans choose to awaken. What we can tell you is that deep in your soul, you have chosen this and if you get into your soul centered self, you can know the reason why you have chosen to awaken.
Now, why do humans choose to rapidly awaken? Again, this is different for everyone, but what we can tell readers of this article is that this time on Earth is a potent time for clearing out energy, which is required for an awakening experience. Many souls have decided to capitalize on this potent energetic time and timed their clearing accordingly. In the coming decades, you will see an outgrowth of humans who are awakened to their guides, to who they truly are, and to their spiritual gifts. You will also begin to see humans incorporating these gifts into their professional work. The days when you practiced your spirituality and that spirituality was separate from your work will be a relic of the past. This next generation of workers are coming forward precisely to make this change and it will be so.
Why are Dark Nights of the Soul often a prominent part of an awakening experience?
Xavier: In short, resistance. We have defined resistance elsewhere on this website as a repeated pattern or identity that the person is not aware is a soul fragmentation. They do not realize that the behavior is detrimental to their ascension, and so they have repeated it over multiple lifetimes and have become numbed to becoming aware of it. The high self will often accommodate the personality self as much as it can, but when their unawareness become intolerable, the high self will then call for the personality to become aware, and this can often feel like a Dark Night of the Soul. For souls that have incarnated on Earth for quite a bit, those on the older scale will often have lived so many lives that there are many of these to clean up and Dark Nights of the Soul can feel like it’s never-ending. We are here to tell you what has already been said and that is, it will pass. For it to pass with much more ease and grace, you must ALLOW. So, get into your soul centered self and discourse with your high self as to what it wants you to be aware of. Your awareness is key to you passing through the Dark Night of the Soul and into the rainbow light that you are. Again, we will repeat that because it is very important for those who feel like they are repeating lessons over and over. You are not repeating lessons but it feels that way because the high self wants you to be aware of something else and you have to discover that thing for which you need to be aware of for it will unlock you out of your Dark Night of the Soul.
Can we prevent Dark Nights of Soul from happening?
Metatron: Sometimes you can and sometimes you can’t. We wish to explain why. Sometimes Dark Nights of the Soul can be a very efficient way to move substantial amounts of aggregated energy and there is no better way to clear out the energetic body. So, because this is the case, the high self calls for a level of awareness that feels like a Dark Night of the Soul to the personality. Other times, however, humans are stubborn in their resistance. These instances of the Dark Night of the Soul can be prevented if the human chooses to move past their resistance. Simply set the intention that you wish your resistance to be lifted, and spirit guides will assist you to make it so.
Can Dark Nights of the Soul be facilitated by a health crisis? If so, is there a difference between those that show up as dis-ease versus those that just show up as an emotion?
Metatron: This is a good question. Dark Nights of the Soul can be facilitated by dis-ease through some kind of health crisis. The reason why the energy shows up in the body in this way is because that part of the body experiencing disease need to be upgraded, either by the removal of some part of the body that is no longer serving the person’s highest good or through the recalibration of the cellular level of the body. The latter is what the virus you know as COVID-19 was designed to facilitate, energetically. For those experiencing dis-ease as part of the Dark Night of the Soul, send love to that part of the body that is affected and understand that the high self is always conspiring in your favor. As previously stated, if you wish to know why what is happening is happening, get into your soul centered self by getting into the channeling state in meditation and begin to discourse with the high self. Ask, ‘What do I need to learn in this experience?’ ‘What do you need me to be aware of?’ ‘How can I enhance my awareness regarding this soul lesson?’ Have a heart to heart with your high self and you will feel relief.
As for those who experience the Dark Night of Soul as a purely emotional experience, this simply means that there is no recalibration of the cells or of the body that is necessary for them. Understand, however, that after every major energetic clearing, humans will inevitably go through descension symptoms and these descension symptoms are designed similarly to what we discussed above. Allow the descension symptoms to move through you, for it is performing an important function of upgrading your body to its new higher frequency.

Metatron: Awakening is a high calling. Listen to it. Hear with your mind’s eye and with your heart as to what the high self wishes for you to do. Understand that incarnation is co-creative. So, what does the other side need you to know? Make use of your guides. Intention is very powerful during an awakening experience. Set those intentions, and guides begin to assist you as soon as you set them.
